Luis Marquez is the Assistant Deputy Director for Administration with the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services. Luis manages the Department’s administration division’s strategic goals and oversees its operations which support the needs of all other divisions serving Arizona veterans and their families.Before joining ADVS, Luis served the State of Arizona in various capacities for over 24 years. Prior to his current position, he served as the Chief Financial Officer with ADVS, Assistant Statewide Grants Administrator with the Arizona Office of Grants and Federal Resources within the Arizona Department of Administration, Financial Services Manager for Governor Brewer’s Office of Economic Recovery, Director and Deputy Director of the Arizona Department of Racing, Accounting Supervisor of the Arizona Lottery, and Administrative Services Manager of the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control. Luis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Accounting and a minor in Business Law from the University of Puerto Rico and completed the Certified Public Manager program with Arizona State University.
