Mission Statement

The mission of the Arizona State Veteran Homes is to provide professional skilled nursing and rehabilitative care for the geriatric and chronically ill veteran and dependent/surviving spouses throughout the State of Arizona. Our goal is for each veteran to attain or maintain his or her highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.

Each of our Arizona State Veterans Homes is a Medicare certified, skilled-nursing care facility for eligible Arizona Veterans. Our staff serves the long-term care and rehabilitative needs of Arizona Veterans, with energetic and caring staff whose members provide nursing, therapeutic recreation and social services to those who have served our nation.

Veterans and their spouses who choose long-term care enjoy a vibrant, independent lifestyle with customized services to fit their needs. Residents enjoy comfort, dignity and warm social connections through a variety of activities and outings with staff, other Veterans and the community.

An applicant is eligible for admission if the applicant is an honorably-separated Veteran or the spouse of a Veteran and must require skilled nursing care as determined by a physician. In addition, there must be documented evidence of the absence of tuberculosis.
