Veterans Advisory Commission - Strategic Plan

Mission Statement 

"To promote public awareness and enhance the well-being of past and present Arizona service members and their families."

Purpose

In accordance with Arizona Revised Statute 41-602, the Commission shall provide policy advice to the Governor and the Director regarding veterans’ issues.

Calendar 2024 Meeting Dates

The regular bi-monthly meetings are held at 10:00 a.m. on the second Thursday of every other month, at the offices of the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, 3839 N. 3rd Street, Suite 209, Phoenix, AZ 85012. Dates and locations are subject to change. Please refer to posted meeting agendas for further details.

Two of the scheduled meetings for each calendar year may be held outside Maricopa County. The exact date and location will be announced.

Physical copies of the public meeting notices will be posted at the following location:

This office is open to the public Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, except legal holidays and state mandated furlough days. All meeting notices and agendas will be posted in these locations at least 24 hours in advance of the meetings. The commission is open to the public.

Information about Commissioners with substantial conflicts of interest is available for public inspection.
