The Gold Card initiative is a joint effort of the Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration (ETA) and the Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS).

Subway has launched a new franchise opportunity for veterans.  Subway’s normal franchise fee of $15,000 will be waived for any veteran who plans to operate their new restaurant at a government or military location. Non-military or government locations qualify for a 50 percent decrease in franchise fees.
