2019 National Vietnam War Veterans Day Ceremony

Arizona joins Governor's Challenge to Prevent Suicide

March 4, 2019: Arizona is one of seven states participating in the inaugural Governor’s Challenge to Prevent Suicide among Service Members, Veterans and their Families. The challenge is hosted by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

New Veteran ID Card

Veteran ID Card imageNov 2017: The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced that the application process for the national Veterans Identification Card (VIC) is now available for veterans. 

Veterans who served in the armed forces, including the reserve components, and who have a discharge of honorable or general (under honorable conditions), will be able to apply for the ID card.

Sometimes problems seem like they are impossible to solve for many different reasons. Sometimes we are not even fully aware a problem is building up. We just know something is wrong. When problems build up, even the strongest individuals may think about suicide. Yet suicide is not the answer.
