Role at ADVS: Veterans Benefits Counselor

When did you start at ADVS: September 19, 2022

Did you serve in the military: Yes, I was an E-5 builder in the Navy for five years.

Did anyone in your family serve: My dad, grandfather, brother, uncles and father-in-law all also served in the military.

What do you do at ADVS: I help connect Veterans to benefits

Why did you decide to join ADVS: I wanted to work with Veterans once again and help them navigate the government.

Why is your job important to helping Arizona Veterans: The process of applying for benefits is very difficult and we help them to not only file a claim but to provide needed items that they wouldn't have known about. We are supporting Veterans by letting them know about what resources are available to them and it helps out tremendously.

What do you enjoy about working at ADVS: Getting to help and talk to Veterans all day! I love hearing their stories and seeing how we can help. The best feeling is seeing a Veteran receive help they desperately needed.

Outside of ADVS, what do you enjoy doing: Spending time with family, hiking, kayaking, and gardening.
