FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.- The Arizona State Veteran Home- Flagstaff (ASVH-Flagstaff) is now accepting applications for individuals interested in living in the facility.

The new Flagstaff facility is scheduled to open its doors to our first residents in October. After some setbacks that originally delayed the opening, the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services is pleased to announce that all repairs to the facility are complete and are finishing up remaining cosmetic work.

An official opening date will be announced at a later time.

“We cannot wait to welcome our first residents into our brand new Flagstaff home,” said ADVS Director John Scott. “This facility is such a necessary resource for our northern Arizona Veterans and we are so excited to be able to provide them with this service.”

ASVH-Flagstaff is an 80-bed Medicare-certified, skilled-nursing care facility for eligible Arizona veterans, located in north Flagstaff, near Flagstaff Medical Center. The facility serves the long-term care and rehabilitative needs of our northern Arizona Veterans.

An applicant is eligible for admission if the applicant is an honorably-separated Veteran, or the spouse of a Veteran. As a prerequisite, the applicant must require skilled nursing care as determined by a physician.
