Four Dozen Veterans Interred in Special Ceremony at ADVS Cemeteries
This month, the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services and the Missing In America Project interred more than four dozen previously unclaimed Veterans.
Thirty-seven previously unclaimed Veterans were interred at the Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at Marana and 10 previously unclaimed Veterans, plus two MIAP volunteers were interred at the Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at Camp Navajo.
In a special ceremony, the Veterans were given full military honors surrounded by friends, family and a grateful community. The ceremony ensures that every Veteran is remembered and honored for their service and sacrifices.
The Missing In America Project is a national organization dedicated to locating, identifying and interring unclaimed Veterans.
The 12 Veterans interred at Camp Navajo on Oct. 11 were:
