Here are some of the safety measures we’ve implemented:

·COVID-19 tests, temperature checks and screening for all staff members

·Nursing staff continues to monitor residents for symptoms during each shift

·Procedures for environmental cleaning based on current CDC recommendations

·Housekeeping staff continues to clean and disinfect common areas, objects and surfaces throughout the facilities

·The use of contact precautions to prevent the spread, which includes wearing gowns, nursing caps, shoe covers, N95 masks and gloves when interacting with residents who present symptoms

While visitation is allowed seven days a week, all home and community visits must be scheduled Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and at least 24 hours in advance. To schedule a home or community visit with a resident please contact their respective Arizona State Veteran Home.

Additional Information:

On Monday, December 28, 2020, Arizona State Veteran Homes in Phoenix and Tucson hosted a CVS Caremark COVID-19 vaccination clinic, administering the Moderna vaccination to both residents and staff. We are continuing to work with CVS Caremark to ensure that everyone who wants the vaccine receives both doses.
