TUCSON, Ariz.- The Arizona State Veteran Home-Tucson (ASVH-Tucson) has been recognized as one of the best nursing homes in the country by Newsweek.

ASVH-Tucson was ranked third for the state of Arizona for the America’s Best Nursing Homes 2025. The nursing homes on the list were assessed and ranked for performance data, recommendations of medical professionals, accreditations and resident satisfaction.

“Our mission is to provide professional skilled nursing and rehabilitative care for our Arizona Veterans and dependents to maintain their highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial wellbeing and this recognition is a testament to the hard work and commitment to going above and beyond that mission,” said Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services Director John Scott.

ASVH-Tucson is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility, located by the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, which offers eligible Veterans and their spouses a wide array of amenities.

“We are so excited to receive this recognition. We know that we have an incredible staff and the best home for our Veterans and this is nice validation to continue to do what we do best,” said ASVH-Tucson Administrator Bob Tunila.
