Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemeteries to Host Wreaths Across America Day Including Special Dedication to Arizona Medal Of Honor Recipients at Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista
WHAT: Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemeteries (Marana, Camp Navajo & Sierra
Vista) will host wreath-laying ceremonies for national Wreaths Across America (WAA) Day. Coordinated and led by local volunteers, the cemeteries raised money to place wreaths on all headstones of our fallen service members. This annual event seeks to further the WAA mission of Remember, Honor, Teach, ensuring that the memory of those who served our country endures.
WHO: Volunteers who wish to lay wreaths are asked by all 3 cemeteries to arrive no later than 9:45 a.m.
WHEN: Ceremony begins Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, 10:00 a.m.

- In addition to the wreath laying ceremony, SAVMC will host ‘Forgotten No More’ a dedication of a commemorative marker to acknowledge 48 Arizona Medal Of Honor recipients hosted by the Cochise County Historical Society immediately following the Wreaths Across America ceremony at 11:00 a.m.
