Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemeteries to Host Wreaths Across America Day 2023

PHOENIX - The Arizona Department of Veterans' Services invites the public to attend 2023 Wreaths Across America (WAA) Day ceremonies at the agency's three Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemeteries located in Marana, Bellemont, and Sierra Vista.

Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Marana (AVMC-Marana), Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Camp Navajo (AVMC-Camp Navajo) and Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery (SAVMC) in Sierra Vista will host wreath-laying services on Saturday, December 16th. The ceremonies at each location are set to begin at 10AM and are open to the public. Coordinated and led by local volunteers, the cemeteries raised money to place wreaths on all headstones of our fallen service members. This annual event seeks to further the WAA mission of Remember, Honor, Teach, ensuring that the memory of those who served our country endures.

If you're interested in volunteering to help out with the staging of the wreaths, cemetery staff from SAVMC in Sierra Vista and AVMC-Marana are asked to arrive at 8AM. If you'd like to volunteer at AVMC-Camp Navajo please arrive at 9:30AM.
