ADVS Welcomes Two New Arizona State Veteran Home Administrators

The Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services (ADVS) is pleased to welcome two new Assistant Deputy Directors serving as the Administrators for two of our Veteran Homes.

"We are so excited to have two fellow Veterans join us as our new home administrators. I know that they will do a great job taking care of our staff and Veterans at our homes," said ADVS Director John Scott.

Cameron Farr will serve as the home administrator for the new Arizona State Veterans Home in Flagstaff. Upon opening, he will help open the home and coordinate the daily tasks needed to provide skilled-nursing care to our Northern Arizona Veterans.

Cameron, served in the Marine Corps, is an Eagle Scout, licensed nursing home administrator, and a self-proclaimed connoisseur of corny jokes.

“I am so excited for the opportunity to build my team to bring this service to our Northern Arizona Veterans,” said Farr. “It is an incredible and much needed resource in a beautiful part of Arizona.”

The Arizona Veterans Home in Phoenix also welcomed a new administrator at the beginning of the summer.

Jermaine Williams will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home and help the staff stay on track for its long term goals and mission to serve Arizona’s Veterans, service members and their families. 

Like his father and grandfather, Jermaine is a United States Air Force Veteran who has continued to serve his community after his honorable discharge. He has worked with a number of non-profit organizations across the country as well as serving as a police officer, a school teacher and a healthcare professional.

“I am most excited to see how my high-stake decision-making impacts the home and the Veterans in a positive way,” Jermaine said. “My father, grandfather, uncle, brother and I are all Veterans so having the opportunity to give back to the Veterans before me and being able to serve them in this capacity is why I chose ADVS.”
