Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemeteries in Sierra Vista, Marana, and Camp Navajo saw record turnout for Wreaths Across America Day on December 17th, 2022.

Nearly 1,000 people attended ceremonies at Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at Camp Navajo just outside of Flagstaff, Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at Marana and Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista.

Family, friends, fellow Veterans and volunteers were instructed to speak the Veteran’s name and thank them for their service before placing a wreath with a bright red ribbon on their headstone.

Coordinated and led by local volunteers, the cemeteries raised money to place wreaths on all gravesites of our fallen service members.

Every December on National Wreaths Across America Day, wreath laying ceremonies happen at over 3,700 cemeteries across the country to fulfill Wreaths Across America’s mission to: Remember our fallen U.S. Veterans. Honor those who serve. Teach children the value of freedom.

Wreaths at the cemetery can be seen until they are removed on January 7th.
