Philip Cushman is a Beekeeper in Quartzsite, Arizona. He retired after 22 years in the U.S. Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer and is a disabled combat Veteran. Philip advocates for Veterans' issues in rural Arizona through American Legion Post 113, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 769, and serves on the Veterans Advisory Committee for the International City Managers Association. Philip served the Towns of Dewey-Humboldt, Duncan, Fredonia, and Huachuca City as their Town Manager, and is eagerly awaiting his next assignment in rural municipal government. He has served on the governance boards of the Quartzsite Chamber of Commerce, Quartzsite Fire District #33, La Paz Regional Hospital, One Seedling, The Gemhunter's Company and serves as a Substitute Teacher in the rural school districts of La Paz County. As a Commissioner, he is keenly interested in Veteran employment issues, especially in state and local government.
